The Shawshank Redemption [1994] – Although this film was released 23 September 1994 and then, but when you first watch after 16 years, this film does not seem to be made during the late 20th century. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman’s acting very unusual in a film directed by Frank Darabont this.

Films that receive seven awards in the 13th Oscars Nomination tells the story of Andy Dufresne (played by Tim Robbins) is convicted on charges of killing his wife and her lover, who had never done. Dufresne is a banker, brings his expertise in financial planning movement during the Shawshank prison which he is known to be very hard in serving the rest of his life in prison.

During his stay in prison Dufresnw still say that he is innocent, he will not take all this punishment, but Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding (played by Morgan Freeman) actually says, “Everyone in here is innocent, you know that?”. His cold and rarely spoke to made it the target of other inmates.

Ellis Boyd ‘Red’ Redding in jail as a teenager and has undergone during the 40-year jail sentence for criminal action. He felt as long as it also has been deprived of his life. By the day of his release, he was not concerned about anything else. He was accustomed to prison and become a gateway if the other inmates requiring goods from outside the prison, including Dufresne who was ordering some stuff to help plan his escape from prison.

In addition to earned Oscar, the film is a favorite Morgan Freeman. The narrative which he read during the movie very entertaining, reminds the movie The Bucket List (2007) which he also perankannya with Jack Nicholson. As quoted from IMDB This film became voted # 1 Must See Movie of all time by listeners of Capital FM in London.

Many messages that can be taken from this film, one of which is as we are told by Red that “any bad things, if you’re used to, you can’t just leave it”
