Sony Pictures announces Will Smith and his son, Jaden Smith will collaborate with director M. Night Shyamalan in a sci-fi-movie genre, One Thousand AE. Aside from being a director, Shyamalan also will write the script along with Gary Whitta.

This is the second time Jaden Smith returned to play in the film berasama his father, Will Smith after The Pursuit of Happyness (2006). As quoted from aceshowbiz, Presieden Columbia Pictures, Doug Belgrad said,

“Night is an outstanding filmmaker who has a tremendous vision for this science-fiction adventure story and we couldn’t be more excited to be working again with Jaden after our experiences on ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ and ‘The Karate Kid’.”

He also added, from the press release,

“We’re thrilled to have the two of them together on this project,”

Mean while, the director himself said about being in one project with Jaden and Will Smith,

“The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starring Jaden and Will is my dream project.”

One Thousand AE settings will take a thousand years in the future, when Earth began to be abandoned. Told a boy (Jaden Smith) with a father (Will Smith) who roam the planet Earth is now empty and being scary after the space shuttle that they mounted is fell down.

Last October, the director of the American-Indian descent, the time to call this science fiction adventure project with the title ‘One Thousand A.E’.
