At the same event, producer Jenno Topping who was involved in the movie “Country Strong” and “Rock of Ages”, also confirmed that Tom Cruise was the middle of negotiation for his role as a bartender who would show of skill to sing rock & roll songs of the 1980s.

“Rock of Ages” set in the era of life on the Sunset Strip 1987 tells a girl from small town to meet with famous rockers in a rock club in Los Angeles. Two fans of rock music are both falling in love with songs of ’80s hits that brought legendary bands like Poison and Whitesnake.

According to the plan, the film director Adam Shankman was scheduled to begin filming in January next year. Besides Tom, singer R ‘n’ B Mary J. Blige also reportedly will be involved in the film that will premiere in 2011.
