Another Vampire and Supernatural movie. In “Fright Night”, Colin Farrell got a chance to become main role and also antagonist.
Colin Farrell will portray the charismatic vampire, Jerry Dandrige which targets humans. Meanwhile, Anton Yelchin plays Brewster teen named Charlie who first realized that Jerry was not human.
Fright Night was adapted from the same titled movie remake in 1985 which tells of a teen horror movie fan named Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) who believed his new neighbor, Jerry Dandrige (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. However, the people closest to Charlie Brewster as his mother (Toni Collette), his close friend ‘Evil’ Ed Thompson (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and his girlfriend, Amy Peterson (Imogen Poots) are not believed and considered himself too much fantasy.
After observing the various activities undertaken Jerry odd, popular young man is come to a conclusion: Jerry is a vampire who preys on people in their environment. Not able to convince anyone, Charlie finally trying to find a way to finish off Jerry before many victims.
Pretty much like Let Me In, don’t you think? The difference only, the vampire is not male (Choloe Moretz in Let Me In (2010)) and the neighbor end-up making friends with the vampire (Let Me In).
“Fright Night” directed by Craig Gillespie and will be released in Aug 19th, 2011 (imdb). Fright Night (horror-comedy genre movie) starring Colin Farrel (Jerry Dandrige), David Tennant (Peter Vincent), Toni Collette (Jane Brewster), Imogen Poots (Amy Peterson), Dave Franco (Mark) dan Christopher Mintz-Plasse (‘Evil’ Ed Thompson).
