This new Alien Prequel just got the official title, Prometheus.

Directed by Ridley Scott and has received one actress to play a role as Elizabeth Swan, she is Noomi Rapace. Prometheus plan will be released March 09, 2012.

Prometheus is a prequel from the previous Alien film. This film will be set 30 years before the first story in the Alien movie in 1979 which was also directed by Ridley Scott. Scott had expressed the idea to show the dark side of the moon and outer space explorers battle between aliens that are packed with more nefarious like a horror movie.

The draft will be written by Jon Spaihts.

Here is as Ridley Scott said as quoted from aceshowbiz,

“While Alien was indeed the jumping off point for this project, out of the creative process evolved a new, grand mythology and universe in which this original story takes place,”

“The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien’s DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative,” Scott said. “I couldn’t be more pleased to have found the singular tale I’d been searching for, and finally return to this genre that’s so close to my heart.”
