Besides replacing the cast of Spider-Man, Marc Webb also wants a superhero that has a new enemy. Actor Rhys Ifans was selected as the new enemy of Spider-Man. Actor who also played in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, will cast as a Dr. Curt Connors / The Lizard.

Marc Webb is sure if Rhys Ifans can play a role as a villain in the movie that will soon enter the production phase.

“Ifans has great ability. He can show anger and also the warmth of character. This is what makes him an ideal choice for this character,” said Webb.

Ifans In addition, as previously rumored Andrew Garfield (substitute Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker), Emma Stone (as Gwen Stacy) and Martin Sheen (as Ben Parker, the uncle of Peter Parker) also played a part in the fourth sequel of Spider-Man that the plan will be released on 03 July 2012.
