This film is an adaptation of the novel ‘On The Road’ by Jack Kerouac. As quoted by Reuters, the process of filming began last August with a production budget of USD 25 million.

The director, Walter Salles is rumored to follow in the footsteps of the author (April 1951), by travel all across the United States to prepare for adaptation.

Kristen Stewart will play as Marylou, wife of Dean Moriarty an their relationship is not so good. Meanwhile, Riley will star in writer Jack Kerouac’s alter ego, Sal Paradise. And Hedlund will cast as Dean Moriarty. Sal and Dean travels the world and see the Americans as well want a better life. They through a lot of things in the journey, such as riding several vehicles, met with many people and trying to survive despite having only a little food.

As quoted from MTV, here is what Stewart state,

“I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever,” she said “Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.”
