Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman was selected as a potential candidate for the film adaptation of Stephen King’s serial novel, “The Gunslinger: The Dark Tower”.

This film will be titled “The Dark Tower”. As quoted from the Los Angeles Times and will be directed by Ron Howard. Even before talks with Stephen (the author’s novel), Ron has prepared a first draft of the film so he might not disappoint Stephen.

The Dark Tower is about the adventures of Roland Deshain, an armed cowboy who crossed the various places to find the black tower. The tower is believed to be a portal connecting to the modern world.

This film will be released according to plan 2013 and Ron Howard seems to handle it very seriously.

As quoted from Aceshowbiz, Howard said, “It’s different Than anything I’ve ever done and in really interesting ways.” Also he added “We say, ‘At Their root they’re simple stories, do not be Afraid to keep it simple.”
