In recent statement, Samuel Jackson (cast as Nick Fury) said he had auditioned five actresses who will portray his sidekick (Maria Hill) in SHIELD.
Mary Hill is the deputy executive director of SHIELD. And so far Cobie Smulders still at the top of the list.
If Marvel and Smulders agreed, Smulders will join Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans.
‘The Avengers’ (2012) will gather all the Marvel superhero group in the Avengers, lead by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). The members are Steve Rogers / Captain America (Chris Evans), Tony Stark / Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), War Machine (Don Cheadle), the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
